Firstly Taxify is an Estonian international transportation network company headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia. The company develops and operates the Taxify mobile application, which allows people to request a taxi or private driver from their smartphone.
The company earlier today issued out a press statement condemning the incident that happened and also measures it has taken to uncover the real truth of the matter.
WHAT HAPPENED ?
The Nollywood actress Dorcas Shola Fapson said she got into the taxify and the driver asked her if she can make it a cash trip. The Actress then denied the request to make it a cash trip as she didn’t have cash on her.
The driver then asked that the trip should be done offline then. To which The actress denied and said he should end the trip. This did not go down well with both parties and She booked another taxify, which was 2 mins away.
Upon hearing this the driver grew furious and refused to open the car for the Actress to step out.

After this incident went live on social media, the transport company had to come out to issue a statement.
Early today, we received troubling news of an incident that occurred between a male driver partner and a female rider on our platform where allegations of harassment and violence have been made.
Upon receiving the news of this incident, we immediately contacted the rider and expressed our concern to her in person. Our lawyers have petitioned the State Intelligence Bureau and the Nigerian Police Force to take up the matter.
The incident is currently under investigation with these authorities and we are giving all the necessary cooperation.
We at Taxify are committed to providing reliable ride experience for our riders. Creating a safe and healthy experience is an absolute part of this.
We have zero tolerance for any and all forms of harassment and violence.
